My question is based on most recent realeses which are better?? and which are better in general? for a 6800nu 16x1x6

Ew yuck. The 77.22 is probably the worst nVidia release. It was rushed because they needed a driver with 7800GTX support.

I've been using the XG's for a while now, and they seem to only be getting better and better. I really like them as they give me beautiful IQ without sacrficing performance. I'm currently using the XG 77.62 Type 3's, and they're out of this world. I would highly recommend them.

77.72 official offered much better BF2 performance than 77.62 XG in BF2, which was all bogged down AND had some incorrect code resulting in shader corruption on some sections of stone wall in Gulf of Oman. So far, 77.72 is bug free.

I love how people seem to think there are drivers out there that get higher image quality at better performance levels than the official releases. Trust me, no one knows how to get more out of Nvidia's cards than Nvidia.

I've used the XG drivers, and they are nice, but they don't have any tweaks an average user can do - primarly just changing LOD bias and mip mapping bias. Better image quality at slightly slower performance...wow...what a breakthrough...

In all honesty it is personal preference. No one driver works the best on everyone's machine. It's all about how it runs on yours.

THe XG's do more than that. Go to their forums and take a look. Daishi tells you exactly what they do so you can do it to any driver you feel like. XG's definitely are better than the officials. The NGO's, i haven't worked with too much but it seems that the XG's do a better job.

I am using XG 77.13 . Some of the newer ones have problems and I eventually got tired of constantly updating to the latest betas. The XG drivers have some minor improvements in both IQ and speed over the nvidia drivers in most games, but for the most part they are pretty similar.

77.72s are a POS.

When a driver has to be manually fixed to play videos, i'd say that's fux0red.

I tried the 77.72 official, and they completely locked up my PC when playing Need For Speed Underground 2. It would lock up in under 15 mintes of play. As n7 said, they are POS. They were rushed out to support the 7800GTX....now, on July 22nd, a NEW official is supposed to come out, with a surprise for SLI users. I found the link in the NVNews forums
