For $140, what is the best DC ram that i can get?

Hi,

I am looking for 512MB Dual Channel memory...
and of course do some overclocking..

for $140, what is the best ram that i can get...

If you are a serious Intel overclocker (which it seems you are from your sig) then $140 isn't enough for quality memory. You could probably get some Value stuff but the more expensive good memory can be up around $200. Of course it also depends on the processor you are using for your new system. For AMD processors the most you would probably need is PC3500 but if you are buying a P4 then PC4000 (if you are going to try and hold 1:1) might be better.

On the other hand, if you're a mild overclocker, you can get some Mushkin PC3500 Level 2 RAM for $130 here at newegg.

This RAM is top notch, but it's not good for extreme overclocking.

going to get a P4, not sure a C or E..

but along with Asus P4P800-Deluxe

R9800p

and still thinking of a reliable and fast harddrive(120G)

that is the level I stuff which is still really good. level II is much more money but only has slight timming reduction 2,2,2 compared to 2,3,3 of level I not much of a performance difference but level I will still probably run at level II spec.
