FOP 32-1 question

Hello! I have a friend who is thinking about upgrading to a 1 gig T-bird or maybe even higher. My dad's girlfriend is also looking at the 1 gig T-bird or higher. She already has the FOP 32-1 and I had my friend order one too. My question is...how high are the FOP 32-1's rated? What's the top processor that they would probably do a good job of cooling? Anybody running one on a 1.2 gig T-bird? If so....how are your temps? I'm just trying to get a little info to see if they should stick with a 1 gig or less or if the FOP 32-1 will still provide adequate cooling if they should go with a 1.1 or 1.2 T-bird. The FOP32-1 is way more powerful than the heatsink AMD includes with it's retail chips. It should be fine.

If all you're going for is cooling, you can get even better than the 32-1. The fop 38 comes quickly to mind, but of course there are others.

the FOP-32 will work fine with either of those cpus , it is the same heat-sink as the FOP-38 except with a 4700 rpm fan instead of the obnoxiously loud 7000 rpm fan on the 38, it cools within a degree or two of the 38 as well. edit- it also is AMD approved

are u overclocking? if not, then u can buy a cheaper HSF... like taisol, the FOP 32-1 is for overclockers since it provides really good cooling, but its kinda loud and expensive... but since u already have one, then, YES it will keep the cpu cool, very cool.

the Fop32-1 is fine, so long as the case has good airflow. you could have the world's best heatsin, but if there's no air circulation in the case it won't do jack 😉

It will do a mighty fine job of cooling that T-bird. If you get arctic silver than it will perform even better.🙂
