I have draft pics 8 and 9 for my Fantasy Draft.

Assuming all the teams draft by the Yahoo! rankings, I'd get Deuce McAllister and Travis Henry (both RB's). I'd have my two starting RB's. But then, I'd have to wait until pics 24 and 25 to get my next two players.

Should I pick up those two RB's for my first 2 pics, or should I take my chances and pick up a good QB (Donovan, Garcia or Gannon) or perhaps a WR?

I'm not a huge football fan, but last year Gannon and Garcia were getting me 25+ points each week, will McAllister and Henry produce more than that?

So you're saying to grab my two RB's first? Then grab some WR's and QB's on the 24 and 25 pics?

I wouldn't grab Garcia. He is having a lot of back problems and frankly I think he will miss some games this year.

In a Yahoo league i would definately take a decent QB first round...they yeild the most points in that league (depending on how your league is being scored, i guess).

It is impossible to answer that question without knowing the setup of your league. In general RBs are the most valuable players because they are the only players to do enough rushing and receiving to gain points in both areas. However, if you get a player who throws a lot effectively (like Marino did) or a quaterback who rushes a lot (like Vick), then this general rule gets blurred very quickly.

The bottom line though is it depends on your league setup (specifically what you get points for). Good luck.

If you're in the same pool as me you'll need it :)

If on pics 8 and 9, I pick up McAllister and Henry.

Then on pics 24 and 25, I pick up Garcia/Gannon (who should I choose? Donovan will be gone by then) and a WR (Joe Horn)

Then pics 40 and 41, I pick up Torry Holt (WR) and Isaac Bruce (WR)?

That way, I have two great RB's. Great QB and good WR. And then two more decent WR's.

Pics 56 and 57 I get a backup RB and a backup WR. Pics 72 and 73 I get a TE and a backup QB.

Pics 88 and 89 I get another backup WR and a kicker. The rest, I'll let Yahoo! decide for me.

I'm a 9ers fan too...but we have to face the facts. :(

As mentioned you'd have to tell us your league settings and how many people per position. I assume:

1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1K, 1D.

I would grab a stud RB like Duece and then McNabb if available...most likely depends how I feel at the time I guess

Henry and McAllister would be good first rounds (provided the first 7 go in order). DON'T pick Vick in the first. I wouldn't pick Jeff Garcia either, the back problems sound serious. You can typically get a quality QB later on
