Foot pain, shoe inserts?

Do any of you use shoe inserts for the arch when on your feet all day? I've got an insert for my heel, but it doesn't do jack-sh!t, and the archs of my feet hurt. How much did you pay for yours if you use them?

I'm pretty sure I'd be considered underweight. 5'9 @ 145lbs.

I use inserts on most of my shoes for work. Though nothing specialized, just some dr. scholls foam or gel.

I bought Dr. Scholl's gel inserts for a pair of work shoes. They helped, although they tend to slide around a bit.

I use gel insoles in my regular shoes (the sport kind), but I have the specially made doctors ones for my athletic shoes.

I had a problem with my right heel a while back, thought it was a bone spur but it eventually went away on it's own, and tried the gel heel insert with no luck. Then I tried the Dr. Scholl's "tri-comfort orthotics" full insert and that was a big help.
