I need to find a decent table to replace a crappy one I'm returning.

In hindsight, I should have known a $50 table from walmart would suck. But I figured it was for the kids, so it didn't really matter if it was a cheap one. But the playing surface is basically cardboard and the screws that came with it didn't even fit where they were supposed to. It was so crappy, I doubt it would have lasted more than a week or two.

I don't want to spend too much since it's basically for the kids, but I do want something that will last at least a couple years without completely falling apart. I'm hoping I can find something around $150.

Any suggestions?

At that price, they're all going to be pretty cheaply constructed. Even my brother-in-law's $300 table is meh.

Having said that, Overstock.com has some pretty good prices from time to time, and their cheap shipping makes it even better. Right now they have one for <$125 shipped it looks like, that would probably be better than what you got from Walmart.

Find an old Dynamo(sp?).

It will last you a lifetime. Might cost a bit more, and I know it's for the kids, but you'll appreciate it.

I picked up one from Target for my brother in law for $50. Turned out to be better than I expected. Atleast it lasted us that night cause we just hammered that thing all night playing for beer.
