Whole wheat pancakes made with honey, ground flax seed, and oatmeal then covered with butter, a little syrup, strawberries, and cool whip.

Wash her down with a cup of Caribou coffee.

Snus and coffee for me. I don't like eating first thing in the morning.

I would pick that too, however you would have to replace ham with bacon (everyone knows this?).

Today I just had my cold brew coffee (cold brew > *) and a cinnamon raisin bagel. Yesterday, though, was my day off and I had a waffle combo and Le Peep. Their waffles are the best american style waffles I've ever had.

Waffles > Wheat Pancakes.

YOU LOSE!

Taylor ham, as in, pork roll? That shit is pretty good. I think I like it better than bacon, just because I don't have it as often as bacon.

What's cold brew coffee?

You combine room temp water with coffee and let it sit for 12 hours, then strain it to get a concentrate that you can add water to later. It cuts out most of the acidity of the coffee and just leaves the flavor. It really enhances good coffee.

I have a Toddy system, http://www.toddycafe.com/, which is really nice. But, you can do it yourself with mason jars and cheese cloth.

I'm skeptical, but I'll give that a try sometime. Do you drink it cold, or heat it up?

I recommend the Toddy system. It's $32 on Amazon and they provide everything you need, sans coffee. I just go to starbucks (the only place in town that has full pound bags of beans that will grind them) and get a pound of beans and have them grind them course, then pour in water and coffee grounds in the provided tub according to their instructions. It creates this cool semi-firm blob that you let sit for 12 hours. After the 12 hours, you release the stopper and pour it into their carafe. This is a concentrate that you you mix with water/cream to your liking. The coffee is really smooth and doesn't have that acidic "bite" that most coffee has.

A real plus is that it takes a lot less time and no clean up during the morning. I just mix the concentrate with water and a little cream and sugar and go to work.

Also, Toddy's component prices are pretty reasonable. You can get replacement filters (they give you two, which are reusable) for 2/ $5.79 on Amazon. I forgot to bring the stopper for mine when I moved to Texas, so had to order another one from amazon. I got 6 for $5. It's a real plus that they don't rape you on replacement parts.

You can do both. You put the concentrate in the fridge to keep it fresh, but you can microwave the coffee after mixing it.

WTF? Are you some kind of fucking hippie??

(BTW, cool whip? really? Making REAL whipped cream is too tough?)
