you aren't a fucking doctor.

What a gentleman.

P.S. Question: How certain of that are you, and why?

Because if you were, you wouldn't say that I was misinformed and I wasn't allergic to fruits, adding that you've only heard of one case in the world that its exceedingly rare. That information is simply WRONG.

He's as finicky as a 5 year old kid who will only eat PB&Js with the crusts cut off. He wants to change his diet, but while staying within his finicky-5-year-old rules of what he will / won't eat.

bingo

im not goin through the thread as im on the way out, but water gets much easier to drink when you stopp drinking stuff thats full of sugar all the time. i used to drink soda and tea and juice all day and hated water. now i drink mostly water and love it (i have sweet tea once or twice a week, soda once or twice a month)

I also happen to be allergic to fresh fruits (and some veggies it seems).

How can you possibly be allergic to FRESH FRUITS and some veggies? If this is true (and I doubt it can possibly be) then you are at a severe disadvantage. Those are some of the healthiest foods you can eat. Not being able to eat them (allergic?) limits you to what you can eat. Try legumes (beans, peas, lentils). They are very high in fiber and protein.

Allergic to fresh fruits? Right ...

Read the wikipedia link. I didn't think it was possible either. Just shows we shouldn't be so quick to judge.

I wasn't "judging" the OP ... I simply have a hard time believing this. If true, this "allergy" could effectively lead to a shorter life span ... with the sufferer not being able to eat those foods that are best designed for them to eat ... for good health.

OP, I still recommend legumes. They are a nearly perfect food. Hopefully you are not allergic to these ...

most juices are just as bad for you as sodas... I laugh at my one friend who always makes a big deal out of giving up soda a couple years ago, but still guzzles hundreds of calories worth of snapple, iced tea, lemonade, etc at a sitting.

I really like those single-serve crystal lite things. I keep a couple boxes at work and mix them with bottled water from the vending machine.

at home, I drink propel, diet iced teas, and those flavored aquafinas.

when I decided to learn how to cook, what I did was cook 1 new recipe a week. after a couple months, I became pretty passable... I can at least probably cook any type of meat, fish, or poultry and make it both edible and not-deadly.

Wow, lot's of dumbfucks here. Thank god none of you are ever going to be doctors. Some people are allergic to water btw. It's extremely rare, but causes rashes on their skin.

Same... when I was younger it was always soda and juice. I hated water. Now it's water (probably 80% of what I drink), orange juice, and coffee. If I drink soda I feel like I'm poisoning myself.
