Reading through it, I have my doubts he/she didn't have covid Hopefully the OPs taste came back. Paxlovid wrecked my taste. Everything tasted metallic. Today is a full week of being off it, and I still get a bit of metallic taste, though it's starting to really wear off by now.

Most likely came to the realization that this shrivled up old forum is a time sink he no longer wanted.
Doc Ian left. We're down to a geriatric hamster that had multiple stokes powering the forums. There's probably 50 active members left at most? This place has been my homepage on the interwebz for over 2 decades, but I think it's about to be taken behind the barn and shot.

I'll miss it because it's the last tech forum where shills don't get to run amok. I guess I'll have to join the former members that are now epic reddit shitposters.

Maybe I have reverse covid. I went to a KFC for the first time in some years and got a three-piece extra crispy combo. That shit was like really tasty

I went through this a few months ago after a flu. I did several self tests. It was the mother fucker of a flu. Second worst flu I have ever had. Worse than when I had covid. Like every joint in my body hurt. Thought I was dying flu.

It was a sinus infection.

A thousand IUs of D3 will do wonders for your immunity without the danger of overdosing.

Sinus infection, gum disease, swallowing your hopes and dreams, covid....lots of things can cause this. Happened to me once in my 20s for a few months actually. They never found the reason, it went away randomly.. The human body is a mystery still.

Myself, I tend to take no medications if I can possibly help it. Lately some B6 because I'm post-op carpal tunnel release surgery, but I'm dosing down. I'm back on vitamins: multi, C, a couple glucosamine tablets, D3, because they say it can really matter/help. Never take NSAID's, although I stocked up in case of Covid, but AFAIK I have not contracted Covid, haven't been the least bit sick since Nov. 2019, which was a nasty upper respiratory. My taste and smell is AFAIK just fine. I don't remember ever losing them.
