I don't understand what that is.

The Horseshoe is an open-faced sandwich originating from Springfield, Illinois.[1] It consists of thick-sliced toasted bread, most often Texas toast,[2] a hamburger patty, French fries, and a "secret" cheese sauce. Common replacements for the hamburger patty include ham, deep fried pork tenderloin, grilled or fried chicken breast, and fried fish fillets.

Though cheese sauces vary by chef, it is generally derived from Welsh rarebit. Common ingredients include eggs, beer, butter, cheese, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt and pepper.

there's a sandwich shop by me that loads fries into their philly cheesesteaks and covers it all with cheese. I'm not a fan.

if I'm going to eat fries at all (and I'm generally not a big french fry person), they really need to be fried to a crisp and salty as hell, not soggy.

Liverwurst is one of my all item favourite things. Grew up on that shit and still cannot get enough of it, however most people I know find it disgusting.

KT

I just had 2 liverwurst on rye with guldens for lunch. Ive been eating this stuff for over 45 years. Sometimes I just eat it as is.

Funny thing is I hate pate, liver foie gras.

Most people would probably say Scrapple but I don't think it's gross and eat it in public with no problem. Poutine gets odd looks but is yummy when made well. Which probably leaves this:

Scrapple as well and I don't think it's gross either probably because I have been eating it my entire life. I also love oyster sandwiches like you get at fireman's carnivals on the Eastern Shore.

Spam on a bagel.

Fried eggs, runny yolk on toast.

Eating raw garlic.

I like almost all my food at room temperature.

chorizo-and-eggs-002.jpg

I grew up on and still love Mexican chorizo and eggs. Just about my favorite breakfast.

I make that every weekend! My wife is Mexican and I learned to make it from her mom. We have our favorite brand and everything :)

It's not really that gross---it's pretty damned tasty actually.

Man, you all must have low standards for gross foods. I guess it's all about perspective.

Weird. I love pretty much all liver-related things.

thats a new trend, they use fries as a filler cuz theyre cheap. a lot of fast food joint like mcd and burger king started putting french fries and doritos on their burgers in the last year because things like beef, bacon and milk/cheese have gone up in price

brussel sprouts done right are fantastic. done wrong they are an abomination.

Indeed. I've been seeing them show up on more menus recently, which is great, because I love them.
