I recently had a bout of excema, first time I've ever had it.

As part of clearing it up, I followed a standard food allergen-free diet. This diet was roughly as follows -

Avoid:

All grains excepting gluten-free corn and rice, definitely avoid wheat
Egg
Dairy
Soy
Nuts
Excess sugar

Anyway, I've been a long-time athlete and bodybuilder, but despite being in super shape, there were many days where I might not feel super-energetic, particularly upon waking.

Now? I feel good all the time. And this is even though I've taken a 2 month hiatus from working out (due to shoulder needing to heal).

I wake up and I feel good. I feel good now, I never feel run down, "icky" or anything like that. It's really quite nice, nice enough to be worth giving up those foods.

I tried experimenting with adding wheat and dairy back in, and felt like shit the next day and a half.

Anyway, I'd recommend trying the above diet to anyone as an experiment.

Try it for a few weeks. Your friends will be trans-fat free popcorn and various meats.

Update on this? Still doing it? And how long did you try the diet before you started feeling better?

Jesus Christ, man. This is a massive necro. Lol. Are you really this worried about allergies and stuff? Why don't you go to the doctor and talk to him about it more? The forums are only a limited supply of info. You can have tests to tell you positively one way or another.

Nice 2++ year old thread!

Well if he had posted something similar you know some fucked up forum besserwisser would have shouted "REEEEPOST" at him.

No necros, no search, not reposts makes this forum fucked up.

Tests aren't 100% conclusive, at least not for something like gluten intolerance. Just want to know what other peoples' experiences are with this kind of thing.
