Foobar 2000 -Kernel streaming

I don't see this option in Foobar 2000 under output. why is that?

Why do you want to use it? :Q It's only in the 'normal'/'special' version of foobar. If you have the 'lite', it says it doesn't include it. What is it supposed to offer over waveout/DirectSound?

i downloaded the special version. I do have this other output option called "Null Output," but I don't think that's it

Nope, that renders to a file or nothing, something like that. But what does kernel streaming have over DirectSound? Just wondering...

When you install foobar, you have to make sure to select it. It's not part of the normal installation.
