Haven't heard the new single, but after seeing them with the Red Hot Chili Peppers, I came to the conclusion that David Grohl is a God. Even though they were the openers for the RHCP, I think they upstaged them.

Toatally different styles of Music. Nirvana was all about angst and not much more while the Foo Fighters are more about the Celebration of life. I also feel that the Foo Fighters are more verstile musically than Nirvana was. I wonder if Cobain had lived if they would have feature more of Grohl's music? As morbid as it might sound the demise of Cobain probably was the best thing to happen for Dave's Music Career.

No kidding! I saw thew RHCP with Sound Garden, Alice in Chains, Ministry and Pearl Jam on the under bill and while those other bands were outstanding the Chili Peppers were by far the best.

I've seen the Foo Fighters on the Tonight Show a few times (obviously one of Leno's favorites) and they always impressed.

I am not a fan of Judy Garland or Andrew Loyd Weber. compared with nirvana, the lyrics are pretty bland/ shallow I think. but hey, that's just my opinion.

They're pretty good IMHO, but I only seem to like some of their songs. My favorite songs of theirs are Times like these and I'll Stick Around.

I like the Foo Fighters, because while you're all comfortable at night, sleeping in your nice warm beds, these guys are out there FIGHTING FOO!!!!!

If you ever seen em in concert, you will realize Dave grohl's voice is like a non stop scream machine. Their performances are usually non-stop, one song after another. They transition into each other and rarely take a break to even breathe.
He is pretty amazing
