Many other sites, Hardocp, Techreport, etc. have shown the 260-216 ahead of the 4870. That's not even taking into consideration the large number of factory overclocked cards available that push it even higher.

This site used the Cats 8.12...maybe when those sites test with the new ATI drivers they'll be similar to what this site got.

They are both damn good cards and dead equal and you cannot go wrong either way. It just is too funny when folks are saying oh the 260 owns and is now faster when the unbiased review

??? I'm not sure what Rel 180 has to do with the "top 5 selling PC games released in the last two months". Either WoW:WotLK is in the top five or it isn't. Or did you mean the top five prior to 180? If it's prior, then Spore would probably be on the list.

I'm getting confused. Do you have a link?

Here ya go, those titles were top 5 at some point in the last few months:

Oct 19-25

Oct 26 - Nov 1

Nov 2 - 8

Nov 16 - 22

There is no sales data for Nov 9 -15 on Shack News, so no need to break out the tin foil hat. Wrath appeared as #1 on the sales chart around the time the 180 reviews appeared.

I'm sure WoW, Sims 2, Spore, Hello Kitty Online and all the other really old/non-graphics intensive games run just fine on modern hardware, just as they did years ago on older hardware.

We definately got to get some reviwers out there to test the 512 card since a ton of us have that.

I would't mind getting a GTX 260 216 to try out and pass my 512 hd4870 on to somebody and popping a "cheap" 8800 card in for some Physx action when Mirrors Edge comes out

It looks like they still give the nod to the GTX260. Still faster overall, lower heat and power consumption plus PhysX. Or so they say in their conclusions.

This has pretty much been the consensus among other sites as well.

This has forced AMD to panic and cut their prices. Which is good for everyone.

If you are trying to get on nVidia's payroll, you should really tone it down a bit. I totally laughed out loud at your 'panic' statement. Panick isn't dropping MSRP ~$50, rather, panic is dropping MSRP ~$200 like nVidia did with the GTX280.

LOL touche..
