as i can see your pictures im gonna ask why the tab mounting for the speakers and not just screw them in from the front?

Perfectionism, I suppose. MDF isn't good for much more than 1 screw-in. A tapped steel hole lasts basically forever.

Besides, you can't find button-head wood screws. Pan head, yes, but they are much chunkier.

all MDF all normal Screws, even the subs
