I promised to Follow-up to a posting about 11 days or so ago...
I had installed new software and a persistent ticking from the sound card wouldn't go away... couldn't totally shut down... Thanks to Corky-g and Sir enity for their input :
Resolution; tried first reloading sound card software... still occurred... So I had a brain storm to unload the two programs (digital camera and Sandisk reader) and voila....
The ticking went away.... The sweet sound of silence!!! I will try reloading again later (MAYBE!)
