I'm trying to figure something out. It seems that if I go without caffeine for a long period, my anxiety tends to get worse. If I down a Rockstar, its gets all better. Everything I can find says it should be the opposite.

Anyone have this or have any intelligent input?

I am not medically qualified in anyway, but you might be experiencing withdrawals from caffeine if you've been a habitual or long time user.

It's very possible, use that as a starting point for google.

I find that once I'm in the full on addicted-to-caffeine cycle, I need to have it or I'll start feeling like shit. Headaches and anxiety are 2 of my main symptoms of withdrawal.

Total opposite with me. In asituation where i get anxiety, caffiene added into the factor will make it exponentially worse.

Now caffiene can give a boosting effect and make you feel better overall, but specifically in the area of anxiety, stimulates just put a magnifying glass on those emotions

Caffeine totally helps to calm my nerves, but, those who say it makes them sleepy ... not the case at all here ... it does help set my mind at ease, but mostly just to help to focus, not to make drowsy.

Withdrawal from caffeine will make you feel crappy, I don't know about anxiety though.
