Folks who've had kidney pain

I got stuck on the subway last week and had to pee so badly that my kidneys started hurting. I would say that they are about halfway between your spine and the side of your back.
 
I'm going through kidney stones right now and i can feel the paid in my obliques and into my back. there is also some minor pain in the front side of my abdomen.
If anything go see a doc...they can set ya up for an ultrasound or IVP and figure out what it is...
Lucky me going in tomorrow for a lithotripsy (stone is so big - 10mm that they break it up with sound waves) 😛
 
yeah...I'm working on a project that bids Wednesday, so I can't get away until after then, hopefully it's nothing.

my lower back just aches on both sides of my spine
 
For me it's whenever I eat a lot of protein without water. It's usually a aching pain more near the lower sides of the back. The more protein the worse the pain gets, it can start to be sharp pain if I continue to do it.

eg, protein shakes will do it quick.
