I'm going to Spain for a couple of months which uses 50hz and 220 volts. I've been looking on the internet and have found plug adapters, voltage converts but no frequency converts.

Has anyone had to buy something like this before? Know where to look?

you don't need a frequency converter

unless you are taking some kind of very sensitive motors

resistive (like a curling iron) and capacitive (like a computer power supply) loads aren't going to be effected by 10 Hz less

I'll just be charging batteries for the most part.

Hey you know what. I just checked my cell phone charger, iPod charger and camera charger and all say they accept 220v and 50hz on the back. I guess solves that problem.

ya that's what i was gonna tell you. Most of the things you would want this converter for, are able to accept both american and european circuits

I was in Spain for three months, and the only thing i used was the head-piece for the plug itself

edit: btw, hope you have a good time! I was living in Madrid myself, and I doubt I will forget the great experiences I had  :D
