Folks, what PSU do I need for a SLI rig?

Another question (using this thread to prevent clutter, thanks for responses for the SLI questions).

Here's my rig, what would I need for a PSU power to run the following:

Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe Mobo
A64 S939 4800+
4X 1GB PC3200 RAM
320GB Seagata SATA HD
Pioneer internal 16X DVD writer
Two 7800GTX Vid cards in SLI mode
PVR150 TV Tuner
About 4-6 USB devices.

How much power do you think is sufficient?

And do power supplies always draw their max amount from the "wall" or draw more as needed? (ie will a 700W PSU take out that maximum from the power grid all the time?)

Thanks again.

Yes. Ever since the 80's drivers. We are now on 90's series drivers.
So your a little late to the party.

First fix your rig link:

Something that was made from a good brand and had enough amps on the 12v line.
Whats your current one?

You should try your current one first. If it works it works. If it doesn't you need a new one. No harm in trying.

And AFAIK, your PSU will only draw as much as it needs

Antec Neo430HE (doesn't have the gfx cards in there yet). Aching to toss this PoS for its got the incompatibility thing with my mobo.

I'm assuming 430 probably wouldn't be sufficient for one GTX at peak load, leave alone two. Any ideas/recommendations? Not overclocking, but would just like to have one that is relatively quiet.

Thanks again.

Probably any PSU that has two PCI-E 6 pin power plugs would do the trick. You can get the Enhance 500W 5150GH for just over $70 shipped that should work fine.

Thanks dude, I'll look into that, still kind of skeptical that 500W would be skeptical for two GTXs?
