Folding Question about the SMP client

When this is running is there a way to stop the client without losing what I was working on?

Or if I stop it when it restarts it will continue to process without losing points/data?

Thanks

Are you using the new beta client? It is supposed to shut down better.

Otherwise, Sid has good luck by Restarting the computer when the client is still running.

I have had good luck by pulling the network cable or by disableing the "Local Area Connection" next to the clock in the System Tray first and then closing the client.
I have even had the client restart OK from a checkpoint after the power goes out!
But never after just closing out the client 😕

Version 5.92 seems happiest if I reboot without telling the client. Ironically, it trashes most WUs if I tell it to quit.

If i"m only running one client Ctrl+C to close the window always works well. If I'm running two clients I need to restart the PC or else it trashes WU's.
