Folding paper 7 times with a 10 ton hydraulic press

Awesome!

Odd to me that it didn't turn to mush. Heat and pressure fused the paper into a solid which then shattered?

I think the Mythbuster's did 11 folds. They did us a steamroller to flatten the paper. Also the Myth was if a paper could be folded more than 7 times. This guy with the press didn't get beyond 7.

I'm sure how the paper is made has an impact on the number of folds
