Not much to report today Still trying to get used to 40K points a day compared to 70k+ :roll: Since things are calm right now I am curious to know what all of you dedicated folders think would be the best bang for the buck processor/motherboard combo for a dedicated cruncher Talk amongst yourselves and post your reccomendations here I'm thinking a S-754 Sempron 2800+/ Chaintech VNF3-250 for 140.85 shipped is a pretty good deal, are there better deals?

If I have missed anything or if you have any comments or suggestions, let me know.

The shutdown of my main rig happens tomorrow evening for a few weeks since I have company coming in from out of town that need to sleep in that room. Looks like my production was starting to crap out anyway.

As for a bang for the buck cruncher setup, if you live near a Fry's grab their P4 bundle (usually something like a 3.2E and i848 motherboard) for about $180 this week (no heatsink though) or a retail Sempron 2800+ and motherboard for $90.

If anyone wants I guess I could buy a combo or two and ship them out at cost plus shipping. I could test the Sempron combo and guarantee it'll work but not the P4 as all of my P4 compatible heatsinks are in use.
