77,280 points today for a total of 18,238,975. Our production trend line is a thing of beauty 🙂 If we could keep this average up for a few months we could possibly overtake a few teams😀 And just to make it more interesting, I have noticed a few more than usual 600 point wu's coming my way. Could this boost our points per day average even higher?😀

If I have missed anything or if you have any comments or suggestions, let me know.

Useful getting started info can be found here: ProviaFan's FAQ and MDE's Start-up Guide. Join TeAm AT F@H, We could use your help 🙂

New users will not appear until they have submitted a work unit under team #198

Milestones are as follows: 1,000, 5,000, 10,000, from 10,000 to 100,000 will be every 10k, and every 20K after 100,000. After 200,000 milestones will be given at 50k intervals

I have 6 computers crunching F@H, and no stats for 3 days, and I'm getting pissed off...:frown:

I'm using the client on 3 computers, and the screensaver on 3 others. How long do Work units normally take.

Depends on the speed of your processors. Usually the first units are very very large ones that take a few days. Please answer these for so we can help you better:

What are the specs of the 6 machines?
Did you add the -advmethods flag?
Did you make sure your team # is set to 198?

Thanks for asking for help 🙂

I see that on 5-11-2005 you send in a failed WU and got 3 points.

WUs will take differing times depending on how many points it is worth and the speed of your computer. Some can take more than four days on a fast computer. The benchmark computer is a P4 2.8. If you had the exact same computer you would get 110 points per day. You can look here to see the WUs points.

There is a file in your F@H directory named "FAHlog.txt" that shows alot of information. If you could post some of it maybe we could figure out what the problem is.

What kind of computers do you have?

The computers are all old, the specs are:

Athlon XP 2600+
Athlon XP 1800+
Athlon XP 1700+
Athlon XP 1500+
Pentium 4 1.6 GHz
Pentium 3 1.0 GHz
Athlon 900

I did not add the -advmethods flag. What does that do? I definately double-checked my username and team ID on all systems.

Not to hijack the thread I have 2 machines.
1 p2.4
1 3500+
what is advmethods flag. and
What does that do?
will it speed things up on these machines?

the -advmethods flag will ensure that you get the Big Work Units that are work the Big points, like the 600 point gromacs and the 450point QMDs. They take much longer to crunch but they are worth it. If you haven't checked Proviafan and MDE's startup guide you should check them. They're a few posts up, i'm too drunk to link right now, but i'm doing a damn good job at typing aren't I? I'm not familiar with the screen saver version but if you want to know how to add the -advmethods flag to the CLI version I can help with that. Ok, well pretty much everybody can help with that. If you have any questions just post them or PM someone from this thread and we'll definitely get back to you.
