Just realized that I got my first finished WU Sept 9, 2005, just over a year ago.

Looking at the total points of others, I realize others have been doing this much longer.

So to satisfy my curosity please post and tell me how long you have been involved in Distributed computing projects

Thanks in Advance

I first started crunching DC for the Seti Classic project shortly after my first home build in December 2004. This site provided me with more info than I could have possibly imagined, so I figured, why not join a DC team and give a little back. Once Classic ended, I was looking for another project and F@H seemed a logical choice, both from an ease of installation/maintenance standpoint, as well as the goals of the project.

This place has become a second home to me now, and I'm thrilled to see that some of the choices that we make can turn out so well!

A LONG time. I forget dates, but the first project I ran was RC5-64 on a 486 100. I was soooo excited when I got a Pentium Pro 200 and watched my work output shoot up.

I have also, in the past, done UD Cancer work, an Aids one that I can't remember the name, and I seem to recall doing DPAD a while back...

Edit...I just checked DPAD stats, and it appears that I've been active within the last 11 hours. Wonder where that computer is....

Seti Classic - May 11, 1999 - till just before Seti Classic was put to sleep :(

F@H since the end of Seti and a little bit of eOn.

Will switch the 4 pc's under my control temporarily to SOB when current F@H crunches are done because of a TeAm's member call for help (from the DC stats looks to be an impossible task of holding off those advancing barbarians but I am not going to shirk my duty of aiding a fellow TeAm mate's call to arms!).

It's got to be at least a couple of years for me. I was running SETI for a long time but changed becasue I felt this has a more likely chance of producing concrete positive results for humanity.

I started doing Folding@Home not long after that project started as well.
