It's really just the GT240 I picked up to GPU fold. Apparently, for folding, it was $35 well spent. Running it 24/7 in an old X2 3800+ system - by itself produces 3700-3800 ppd and the rest of my CPU folders contribute like 300ppd (old P-M laptop, old dual Xeon workstation, and the X2 box).

Another added benefit is that I finally have a system capable of running Starcraft 2 at medium settings, when and if I ever buy the game.

Yah, just 3-4K a day. The 10K is from ~2.5 days of folding.

I still play the original as well. I started going back through all the single player missions again for the original and Brood War, in anticipation of when I finally pick up SC2.

Let's see how much they cost here, OcUK do the i7 950 for £235, the X6 1090T BE £200 (1055T £150, 1075T £193). Certainly cheaper .

Lately, it is lucky if you get a -bigadv WU.

If you do get one it is usually a 2684 - I get ~19,000 ppd.

I was lucky this last time and got a 2686 on which HFM.NET is showing 29,000 ppd

edit: No idea what is going on. I deleted the task it was on, restarted it. still get same error. Does this use .Net framework for anything cause that was only windows update that happened since.

I updated as well and haven't had any problems folding. Did you delete the 'work' folder and 'queue.dat' file?

I now got work units 50000-100000!? weird

Yeah, I noticed those too. My PPD for my 460 GTX shot up to almost 14000 with those work units!
