Bah. I think the stats are screwing me somehow. Last night I had 6 units completed. I checked my logs, one system was at 95%, another was at 97% This morning, both show that they uploaded work and are 10% or so into a new work unit. However, stats show that I only submitted 1 work unit overnight. I verified that my name and team are in the config file correctly. Anyone know why I wouldn't get credited for two?

Did you check the eoc stats versus the stanford stats?
I also noticed that sometimes it will take 6-9 hours for my upload to post on the stats' sites. I have no idea why, but it has happened numerous times...

I've been checking the stanford stats directly. I did go up to 8, but thats because another CPU finished. I am still missing one from last night. I have logs from 2 CPUs that both say I completed a work unit, and I triple checked that my name is spelled correctly, and that team 198 is selected.

My best guess is that the missing work unit is the one from my flash drive. The other system says that I have submitted 2 from there, and I only have 1 missing work unit, so one would assume that system is working ok, which tells me its the flash drive one.

Now, the question is, why is my flash drive copy not submitting correctly. I copied the registry key from my other system and loaded it onto that system as told in another thread. Is there something else I should have done?

If you are downloading the WUs from one computer and crunching them on another computer you may be crunching the exact same WU and you can only get credit once. Each WU has a project name and Run, Clone, Gen number like this: "Project: 2412 (Run 4, Clone 7, Gen 3)". To be different one of the Run Clone or Gen numbers must be different.

If a computer tries to get another WU before sending in results from a previous WU the server thinks it got deleted or something and will resend the same WU to you. So when running more than one client per computer each client must have a different MachineID.

To prevent getting the same WU you need to use the console client set to a different MachineID.

If the GUI client has been installed on the computer you should also add the -local flag to the startup shortcut for the console client.
