Thanks Gleem

I plan on passing the 300 rank by tomorrow !!! W00T can't wait!
Im having friends over for the occasion!

Thanks for the stats, GLeeM1 🙂

It is interesting to note, that my PS3 now does some 400-500 PPD while it did some 900 - 1000 PPd three months ago ...
It is still running F@H 22,5 - 23 hours a day ...

I've been getting the p4043 WUs on my PS3 the last few days. They take about 3 h to crunch and are worth 125 points so the ppd is around 1000. Before these WUs, I did have a few days of 450 PPD or so though off and on.

Even on the PS3, scoring is confusing!😉

Congrats to the MM's!!:beer::thumbsup:

Thanks biodoc for your comment.
I have checked my PS3 and see that it is cont crunching the time it should. I have to check why - may be the LAN or the internet connection...

My teen hasn't adapted to restarting the PS3 to folding after she plays rock band. It's a problem!

Thanks for the stats GLeeM.

Congrats to the MM's.

I should be hitting 1,400,000 sometime today. If the SMP core would stop giving me crappy WU's, I'd be there already.

Haha, wow... check out the news updates at the EOC Stats page. The owner asked for donations to upgrade the server, and wound up with enough to splurge on a world-class dual Xeon with 24 GB of RAM (holy jebus!) and a SCSI RAID array.

My inner geek just blew a fuse.

If we are not telling you, it is not on purpose!

What PPD (and/or WU) are you getting with what client(s) on what kind of CPU(s)? Maybe we can tell you if you are not getting optimum PPD.

SMP Client 5.9(?)
Affinity Enhanced
Mild Overclock (2.7+GHZ for now & CPU temps at around 50c at low fan speeds - Ran prime at default bios settings but all 4 cores failed test - so using SMP to stress test build - Currently FAH1 & FAH2 at 53% complete)

Started folding yesterday w/o Affinity (never heard of it before) but Early Ended after about 20 steps completed - crossing my digits with Affinity Assist.

Electric & Gas included at a set amt in my Co-op Monthly Maintenance so don't have to sweat the Wife's Ire on a big Con-Ed bill - Life is good... 😎

Not a fossil indeed! 😀

That sounds like a GREAT setup TurtleBlue. (That BBQ sauce sounds pretty good too!)

I noticed a post yesterday mentioning that an anti-virus (I don't remember which one) was causing LegoMan666 some difficulties. So that might be something worth looking at. Also, I had to go to a 2T RAM command rate to stay stable here.

Just a couple thoughts, but it sounds like you've got things well in hand.

Congrats on the new protien bender

Hi, Insidious

Thanks for the reply

Not a fossil indeed! Big Grin
I recently pulled my left quad last November trying to keep up with some of the women at work at the track near Yankee Stadium at lunchtime. The Orthopaedic Surgeon thankfully did not find any damage that needed sugery but noticed that my 51year old knee was starting to accumulate calcium deposits - so my bones are on their way to reside in some sandstone deposits for some future archeologists to discover!

That sounds like a GREAT setup TurtleBlue. (That BBQ sauce sounds pretty good too!)
The BBQ sauce is made by a Brooklyn, NY Steakhouse by the same name that has been around for about 100 years & has been rated as the best in this town for the past 20-30 years. Just recently went there with some friends and have to rate it as the 3rd best I have had in this town. The best was at their other place in LittleNeck, Long Island many years ago - no steak sauce needed since the meat just melted in my mouth - perhaps those Dutch Cows ate a different diet back then. The 2nd best is Sparks Steak House on 46th street between 2nd & 3rd Avenue. Went there on one of our anniversary with no reservations - just walking around looking for some place to eat and just stumbled onto them. The Matre-d took care of us and we had a very nice time there and the steaks were awesome! They have one of the most extensive collection of wines - there were bottles everywhere! Their claim to fame is not their steaks - some Mafia bigwig got hit there some years ago.

Thanks for the congrats

Well, I AM a fossil😉 I hit 54 today and I wish I could take my family to one of those great steakhouses in the big apple!🙂

I gotta a bad knee too from high school football injuries so a knee replacement is in my near future (bone on bone).

Nice rig turtleblue...I expect you'll be cranked up to 3.2GHz+ soon!🙂

Congrats on the Giants win...I'm still in recovery on that game.🙁

Yankees/Red Sox should be interesting this year!

Well, biodoc, so far the new Quad has not crashed after a day of folding and have posted almost 4,000 points for completing it's first SMP runs on FAH1 & FAH2 with Affinity assist. The Quad is on it's second unit at around 30% done now.

I am not a heavy Overclocker but I will slowly try to raise the cpu from it's current 2.784Ghz O/C. PC Wizard 2008 is showing CPU temp of 34c, with the individual cores running at around 50c with the Zalman fan at a low (and quite) 1147rpm. I just upped the Zalman to 2500rpm (can hear it now) and the CPU individual core temps are around 45c. I have used Gigabyte's overclock software to raise from 2.4Ghz to it's current 2.784Ghz - may try to do under the Bios since thats what the Overclocker crowd seem to have more sucess with. The memory is showing at around 400mhz so the bios tweaks should bring them up to their 800mhz rated values.

Good luck on your quest to get that smoking monkey off your back - you and your family will greatly appreciate this!

Yeah, da GIANTS, my team...so proud of them all (and without Shocky playing - a major plus in my book, can't stand the guy!) Tried to root for the Vikings in ages gone by but those 4 SuperBowl losses really killed my childhood sport fantacy for them - Poor Fran, what a great QB.

The new Yankee Stadium looks awesome - can't keep my eyes off of it's beautiful facade while walking the track with the ladies from work at lunchtime - The Redsox fans are gonna drool...

TurtleBlue,

I know the purists scoff at the gigabyte software but I think it's great. I started with the bios on my gigabyte board but if you go too far and the machine crashes or doesn't post, then the bios rolls back to a "locked" stock settings. The only way to start tweaking again, is to shut the machine down and short a jumper on the motherboard next to the battery.

The gigabyte software makes it easy...if you go too far it just rolls it back to your previous settings (no crashes or reboots). If you really want to go to 3.2 or above, you'll probably have to bump up the voltages on your RAM, FSB, etc by a 0.1 or 0.2 volts though.

MarkFW...ahem, the new CPU/Overclock Mod 🙂beer🙂 was a great help to me on this OC stuff!!

BTW, when does the new yankee stadium open? 2009 season?

BioDoc

Thanks for the advice - will work with Gigabyte's overclock s/w and implement those voltage adjustments - will let you know...

The new Yankee Stadium will open in 2009

PS - the 3,975 points from the Quad's SMP box has updated on Extreme's - the folders above me on the list are gonna be quaking in their boots! - All in good fun though, and hopfully delay and/or prevent those overclockers team from passing TeAm! Sigh, wish I had the funds to build another one since Microcenter are still selling the 2.4 Quads for $199 until they run out of them before the newer Quads become available.
