The Dutch Power Cows have increased their production and taken back place 22. It is common to leap frog a few times when passing. I would rather not have to change it back. Are we going to pick up our production and pass them permanently? Or should I go ahead and change our rank back to 23?

I noticed that today... every update, we bounced back and forth. It depends on how many of our new GPU users stick around (massive PPD per person) and ditto for Cow members.

Welcome to the TeAm, admin, Surfsatwerk, aidanthreedelta & Keysplayr :) If you have any questions or need any help, just ask.

Does this include yesterday's new names as well? I had hoped I snagged more than that with the Video section thread ;)

BTW, the overall OS/Client stats @Stanford are taking off in a big way from the influx of nVidia users.
Before launch: ~130 TFLOPs from ~1900 ATI owners
Tonight: 458 TFLOPs from 4100 of both companies combined

Niiiice.

+1

My production has taken a nose dive lately, I've had a couple of EUE that were my fault with my SMP clients. Also I've been doing a lot of stuff on the PC the last few days without the clients running. Finally I've been setting up and playing with the GPU2 client, which has caused me more EUE eith my SMP clients (also my fault).

Now that everything is worked out hopefully my PC will start producing the 8000ppd it's capable of. Maybe then we can leap ahead of the Cows for good.

Hi guys....

I haven't posted in a while, but I noticed we dropped in production as well.

I think I am maxed out. I have 6 older boxes running Amber cores. I also have just one newer box running the SMP 5.91 (C2D @2.5ghz).

That box has an ATI X1950 pro and when I first checked out the GPU software it wasn't worth dropping the SMP client.

Am I pretty much as it maxed as it appears to me without hardware upgrades?

I'm trying the GPU2 clients on two of my computers that have compatible video. (8800GTS)

So far it looks like I may be adding almost 5k PPD. :)

AT this point:

AMD Opteron @ 2.5GHz -> single GPU2 client (~3,300 PPD)
Intel Q6600 @ 3.2GHz -> single GPU2 client and single SMP client (~3,500 + ~1,700 PPD)
Intel Q6600 @ 3.2GHz -> dual SMP clients (2x ~1,700 PPD)

total ~ 12,000 PPD :shocked:

Happy folding!

:beer:

Any time there are new names, they are new since the last stats thread I did.
I would have to not do a thread for more than a week to miss anybody. The exception would be if someone new used a "name" that was already in use on the TeAm.

Sorry no stats tonight, just got home from a night out, well part of a night out, that's as far as this oldtimer can go :eek:

=\ my 8800gt is still only giving me low numbers

500-600* PPD according to FAHmon
GPU2 client says: Performance: 350-400 iter / sec is that normal?

LOUISSSSS: No, that's not normal. I have a 10% overclocked 8800 GT, but I get around 4500 PPD on that machine, together with the quadcore X3350 @ 2,66 GHz, which delivers about 4000 PPD. That's nearly 9000 points on a single rig! (and it's too bad that the GPU client isn't working on multiple GPU's yet: there's another 8800 GT in my rig).

Foxery: it's been an interesting week indeed. It also shows up in our stats. One day, you're just past us, the other day it's the other way around. Altough the last few days we're slowly walking away from you guys.

Thanks GLeeM for da stats! :beer:

New Members ~ Great! :thumbsup: Welcome aboard! :)

Congrats to the MM's :cool:

I am planning on upgrading my oldest rig (5+yrs, 24/7 crunching on a Intel 845 Mobo powered by a P4 3.06ghz) since a couple of caps are leaking (been like that for a few months - still working!) when Intel's 3rd Q price drops and build another Quad box.

Now with all of the excitement of NVidia cards crunching F@H and posting awesome ppd's and ATI's new 4xxx cards which hopefully Stanford will also support for crunching work soon had given me pause. I will wait till the dust settles to see what best price/crunching performance cards I will get to increase my ppd production on the 2 boxes that I currently own that can support these types of cards. If the price is right, might throw an extra card into the Quad Vista Box just to fold. Just thinking about all this is making me drool...

:evil:Must resist visiting local MicroCenter B&M store and visiting the NVidia Video card section...:evil:
