Hey there Everybody - Apologies for not checking in for awhile

Welcome Glindark to the TeAm - Nice to see more people joining

Congrats to all the MM'ers especially zerocool1 on making the top 150

Been fighting with my memory on computers. Purchased some Corsair Value Select for a HTPC only to find out the Dual channel modules are individualists and don't like each other.

Luckily I had them because I was trying to OC my OCZ memory and my BIOS did not like the settings and refused to boot. I used one of the Corsair to get booted and back into business.

To top it all off I have been busy at work and home renovations, I did not have time to troubleshoot the above until this weekend. As a result my two best machines were down and my Point production fell way off. I also had to retire my Apple PowerBook as the CPU got too hot working on Folding. It took forever to do a unit on it, so I thought I better take Folding off.

I will be checking in more often now and encouraging everybody

I ran Memtest 86 on the sticks and low and behold, both of the Corsair sticks passed when by themselves and when they are together. Now I am hoping I had some dust in there that caused the problem. If not then my motherboard is pooched. It is folding now and seems to be OK for now.
