Hi GLeeM

Just started F@H yesterday on both of my 2 boxes. They both have pulled down 400 point jobs. On the 2.4ghz box it takes a little less that 10 min/frame (currently around the 200 frame mark). This box is reporting as TurtleBlue and team 198 (TeAm!). The 3.06ghz hyperthreading box is now running 2 Fah_core 65 executable jobs. One dos window shows it takes a little over 10 min/frame. At first it was only running one until I CMD's to add the flag "advmethods" and input the team number. My questions are:

Are there 2 FAH jobs running on the 3.06ghz box - under user "onker" - that one is set for team 198 and the other for the general group?

I ran F@H back in the summer and have some points accumulated using the graphical engine. I looked at the FAC's and did not see how I can transfer these meger points to TeAm?

TurtleBlue, not sure exactly what you are asking.

Do you want to fold under two different names?

If not, stop the client and start it again with the "-configonly" flag/switch (without the quotes). To add flags: right click the shortcut and select Properties. In the Target textbox at the end of what is in there, add a space, a dash and the flag. If you run with more than one flag just add another space and dash and the flag. I have a shortcut special for configuring.

If needed change to your prefered name and TeAm 198.

Set all computers to the same name and TeAm number, unless you want to keep track of different computers with different names. You cannot combine them in any way or move them to a different team.

I would recommend that you set up the 3.06 P4 to get QMDs. Configure to download > 5 MB = yes and add the -advmethods flag. Only run one client if you do QMDs, this will give the best ppd. (Better than two regular WUs) You must have at least 512 MB ram and not too much shared for video. To finish a WU without getting another, stop the client and add the "-oneunit" flag.

The QMDs are currently 450 point WUs and numbered in the 1910-1912 range.

Points cannot be transferred.

The GUI shows frames but they are really steps. The console shows frames which are percent with all WUs except Tinkers (core 65) which usually go to 400, but can be any number.

Made the corrections on the 3.06ghz box so there is only one instance of F@H running as listed in taskmaster (taking up CPU % at 50). Memory is not being shared with video due to ATI 800XL videocard. Noticed while in taskmaster that the priority the program was running at was "low". I popped it up to "normal" (hope I don't blow a fuse! :Q ). Currently, frames are being completed at under 6 min.

After the current WU finishes on the 3.06, and you get a new one, make sure it is a QMD. If you have settings correct, you should always get one! (At least until the WUs run out, which should not be for a while)

Changing the priority from Task Manager will not much help fold faster (Oh, don't try changing to the highest priority, did that once, you won't get your computer back until the WU finishes or you restart )
FYI, there is a setting in config for "Idle" or "Low" priorities that is good for balancing load if running two different projects.

Don't worry about Windows saying you are only using 50% of CPU, the client is using 100% if no other tasks are running.
