Folding HD48xx Video cards? How about (RV740) HD4770?

I am planning to start my attempt at GPU folding fairly soon.

At the moment I really want a HD4770 but wonder if Folding@Home's client servers will support it? Do you think I could start using this 40nm card immediately (after release either this month or next) to get PPD or will Stanford have to update the client a few months later for this to happen?

I have been reading that only recently HD48xx cards were made compatible with F@H software?

P.S. How do ATI cards do in F@H ppd compared to comparable Nvidia products?

all ATI 2xxx and above cards are capable of running folding@home. my ati 2400 was too slow though and never really finished an entire wu.... but i'm running 2-4850, 1-4670, 1-4830, 2-3850, 2-3450... the 2400 i'm replacing with a 4350

Yep I just noticed ATI cards are not very good at Folding?

I am hoping ATI will be able to improve in this category for the future (since this seems like a very worthy cause)
