Folding GPU client problems.

First of all I am excited I am about to enter the top 100 on team 198. I have one about to ship up some units here in the next couple of minutes. First page on extreme overclockers stats.

Anyhow my problem is this:
CoreStatus = FFFFFFF6 (-10)
Client-core communications error: ERROR 0xfffffff6

This usually happens after results are sent up and new work recieved. It doesn't happen every time but close to it. By the log it hasn't ever stopped in the middle of work. Just before starting new work.

I have AMD quad core with vmplayer running linux smp client. I have been meaning to update to the windows version but I don't want to stop in the middle of folding. Seems like the past couple of weeks the client finishes up in the early AM.

There is a wiki on FAH error codes here. Your error is listed and the recommendation is:

"CAL returns this error code when it cannot initialize the GPU. Verify that there is a monitor or dummy plug on that card and that the Windows desktop has been extended to it. Verify that you're running the correct version of the .dll files."

If you want to, you can stop your linux smp client and then restart it with an additional switch -oneunit

When the WU finishes, the client will send the data and then quit.

Thanks, I checked out their forum but not the wiki. It is my only card and there is a monitor and desktop onto it I will lookup the .dll after work.

How ironic. I posted the last reply then checked my FAH monitor. Guess what it sent up the last project and apparently locked up. I had a hard time shutting it down. Thought that a restart would be sufficient but no go. I had to download and setup the windows version before heading to work. The worst part is it sat 12 hours locked up. I have someone on my heels, and I refuse to leave the first page now that I am there. Weiser blew by me a couple of weeks ago like I was sitting still and ended up holding me off a couple of more days.
