Folders in \WINNT

In my \WINNT folder (W2K Pro) there are several folders that begin with $NtUninstallKB#$, $MSI31Uninstall_KB#$ and one called $NtUpdateRollupPackUninstall$ (# replaces a set of numbers). Are these folders important if I delete them or should they just be left alone? They don't consume a ton of space--some 240MB--but I am in the slow process of uncluttering my PC and noticed them. Thanks.

They are backup folders that allow you to uninstall hotfixes (from Windows Update). They are not needed, but if you delete them you will be unable to rollback any Windows Updates you currently have installed.
