Folders auto-refresh, how do I stop this?

I'll be browsing my music folder, and without warning, and no matter what I'm doing within the folder, renaming a file, moving or copying, windows will refresh the folder and take me back to the top. Kind of a real pain when I'm trying to find songs to load onto my MP3 player. How do I stop this? I've tried a couple of fixes within the registry to no avail.

I have not yet. I found that, but I'm waiting to do that as a last resort. I'm not real good at knowing what things in the registry do, and I found another thread on ozzu.com where the guys were discussing the post you linked there. Said that there was a quite a bit of binary info in those registry threads.

I thought I had found a fix, as it worked for quite a while, but then back to the old refresh the folder.
