Hey guys,
So I've been sharing folders with no problems from my C drive. If I try to share a drive from my external USB hard drive, the folder shows up on the network to other computers, but when they try to connect, the error is (more or less), "You do not have permission to access this folder... blah blah... Not enough sever storage..."
Settings are all the same for C drive and external drive shares, as far as I can tell. This is using XP's Simple sharing, so all users should be allowed to connect. It's over a wireless network: netgear AP, linksys router. and as i mentioned, sharing works flawlessly from the C drive. Windows firewall is turned off. no other firewalls are running.
let me know if you need more data.
