Folder moved from desktop keeps reappearing

A folder located on my desktop was moved to another location on a different drive. For some reason, that folder and one if its subfolders reappears no matter how many times it I delete it. I have tried moving the files back and moving them again and copying them, but the folder still reappears. I have never encountered this incredibly annoying issue before and some help would be greatly appreciated. I'm using Windows Vista home.

Suspicion is that some application is attempting to create that folder and related content.
