Foam for moding a board?

Not sure if this belongs in cases or motherboards but it has nothing technically to do with either so I'll try here. Yes I Googled.

My nephew got a motherboard mod idea while attending a car stereo show. The board (I assume the amp was windowed) was covered and sprayed with something that made it look like a bed of rocks. I thought of fire block foam but wanted to toss this one out and see if someone may know of something better AND non conductive. I can imagine a small volvano over the northbridge with a red LED fan in the bottom!

Thanks, and sorry if this belongs elsewhere. 😉

It belongs in the Case & Cooling section I guess, but why does he wanna insulate the board?

I think he wants a mod to make the mobo look like a layer of rocks - sort of. I've seen mods that made cases look like boulders but I've never seen a mobo modded beyond UV spray. What he needs is something breathable and non conductive to add texture.

He's home recovering from a hospital stay and is getting bored just sitting around. He mentioned digging out an old socket A setup to experiement with so the idea is in his head. I think I know what he's looking for but I don't have a clue what it would be called.

Thanks.
