Foam filter on Antec and CoolerMaster cases

My Antec and Cooler Master cases have thin foam filters (black in color) at the front of the case to trap large dust particles. I find them to work quite well.

I've seen similar-type filters used as pre-filters in air purifiers and the such, so figured they'd be easy to find at Home Depot. But when I went to Home Depot, all I could find were vent filters that were much denser (i.e. more restrictive to air flow).

Does anyone know where to get the kind of filter I'm looking for?

Foam filter material is available for room air conditioners, but it's often hard to find in the "off season". Stock up in the "getting ready for summer" store cycle. The big home centers (Lowe's, etc.) should stock all year long. The best I've found is made in the Clearwater, Florida area and is sold under several brands the material is gray/charcoal color.

If that still doesnt work, goto a fish hobby store(not petco), and ask them for a large filter pad ment for wet dry filters.

AC pads as zep says shouldnt cost more then 5 dollars a sheet.

The fish wet dry filter pad will run around 10-15 dollars, but is a big sheet.
