GAH!!!

They have started playing Christmas music over the speakers at work since the start of this week. ITS DRIVING ME UP THE DAMN WALL!!!!
 
I slugged to work today and the people I rode with listened to christmas music for the entire 45 minutes. =(

No (thank god) I work for Blue Cross but in one of the remote sales offices so there are only about 40 people in this office. I guess it is something they do every year, this is my first Xmas in this office.

I was told that I could listen to the radio at a reasonable volume from nine to eleven, I told Bill that if Sandra is going to listen to her headphones while she's filing then I should be able to listen to the radio while I'm collating so I don't see why I should have to turn down the radio because I enjoy listening at a reasonable volume from nine to eleven.

Is it christmas background music or are they actual songs like "Mr. Grinch"? I like the actual songs that are played on the radio, and I'll listen to them when they're on. But I can't stand that background holiday music they play in retail stores.

I brought in my mp3 player and portable docking speakers at work so I don't have to hear this one annoying cube mate complain and nag all day. If he starts b!tching about something or trys to talk to me, I just turn up some 50 cent and continue about my business. 🙂

They are actual songs but some of them are horrible. The old classics are nice (like Sinatra) but the new ones are mind shattering. I do not like the hip-hop female singers singing Silent Night, dragging each damn word out for 30 seconds while their voice sounds like they are sitting on a jack hammer.

I used to. It was nice and I am trying to get back there. The smaller office is nice but being in a big environment where no one can keep track of you is nicer 🙂

Riverchase is nice but the traffic sucks something awful. I think widening the road around Valleydale actually made it worse.

It doesn't bother me that much because I live in SouthSide so I go opposite of traffic when I am in Riverchase and have to travel back home during rush hour. Everyone leaves at 4:30 to beat the 5:00 crowd too.

Heh, I don't have to deal with that traffic at all but my wife does (works at UAB). We're still apartment living and our complex is on the hill off Riverchase, I just cruise down the hill to work. 🙂
 
Throw some Bob Rivers into the CD player... His Christmas carol parodies are awesome. 🙂

Was just listening to one of his albums the other day...pretty funny.
 
I have zero christmas spirit... single and alone this year, not to mention no family in town.

I couldnt care less if I just pretended Christmas just wasnt happening this year...
