FM2+ / FM2 Compatible with AMD 760K

I'm looking to upgrade my sons computer since his current MB sound went out. I just want to make sure this chip is compatible with this MB before I buy. I'm guessing it is since the MB states that it's FM2+ / FM2 but in the MB's specifications it says FM2+.

MB: GIGABYTE GA-G1.Sniper A88X FM2+ / FM2 AMD A88X (Bolton D4) HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD

FM2 CPUs will work in FM2+ motherboards, and the Athlon II 760K is a Richland CPU if I remember right. You should have no problems there. Just remember that, as it's an Athlon and not an A10, there is no GPU onboard; you will need a discrete graphics card.

Yes, it is compatible.

AMD Athlon x 4 760K is a FM2 processors and FM2+ motherboards (like that Gigabyte) can use either FM2 or FM2+ processors.

I only looked at it quickly, but as others indicated, it sounds totally fine.
