Seriously, what the heck is going on here with LLano and mini-ITX boards? Two were shown before the CPU was released (ASrock and Asus), and they still haven't hit the market yet.
I really, really don't get it. I would think that LLano would make a fairly killer HTPC, since it is powerful enough to decode videos even if the hardware acceleration fails, which the E-350/Zacate is not powerful enough.
Is it because at full load, on a desktop chip, power consumption is so high that the VRMs on the mini-ITX boards would burn out?
IOW, the boards were designed around a certain TDP target, and the chip, as currently mfg'ed, exceeds that by a significant margin?
Since they have yet to release lower-powered LLano desktop chips, possibly this is the reason why?
