Does anyone know if these exist...I know they have ones for iPODS, but I was wondering if you can buy them for flash MP3 players also.

Thanks.

Yes, belkin makes some. Generally in car they are fairly crappy. If possible I'd use a tape adapter or FM modulator. I have a belkin and with my Dell DJ I can not wander more than 10 feet from the receiver.

... and this is why a FCC license is not needed.

Isn't there like a 3w limit to FCC license? I mean can't you transmit up to a certain wattage without one? My dad, a HAM operator, used to transmit his CD collection around town. The FCC never cought wind of it but the local stations got pissed as his music was much better.

What do you mean by FM modulator? Is that better? I have an IPOD, but heard that the belkin thing sucks. I was thinking about getting one of those CD changer adapters but they are expensive.

It hooks inbetween your antenna and your head unit and takes over a selected station. There is usually a pair of RCA type inputs to plug whatever you want into.

Ha! That's great. I'd love to do that. Just build a POS computer (old P200 or something) and install linux with xmms. Load up the mp3 collection and set it to random and repeat. Hook it up to a transmitter and let 'er go :)

He even got to the point where there was station ID and an email address for questions/requests. He had two 400 disk changers linked playing his cds.

I bought the one off of woot a few weeks ago just for kicks. Hooked it to my laptop upstairs and it works down the street (about 100 feet) and overpowers radio stations on every stereo I have listened to except someones computer radio because of how his antenna is set up. Very cool little thing I plan on having some fun with, but the quality isn't great.

Don't know how good they are but there's a few to choose from in that list, along with at least one modulator.

EDIT - Link tag being an asshat, changed to just show the url

89.5 isnt bad I've got good results at that staion. I've been using the Belkin Tunecast II that I got from Best Buy for $20 after a $20 rebate. Its cheap and not too bad once you find a decent emtpy station
