Looking for somethign to play mp3's in my car on long roudtrips. Dont even know if somethign like this is possible. Compaq 900z laptop with usb and pcmcia slots. no firewire port. serial port too. Do not even know where something like this would connect.
 
dont know about wireless options, but a simple stereo jack from your line out into a car stereo line in should work. If your car stereo has a line in.

I if your car does not have a line in jack then you can use one of those cassettes adapters that they use to connect portable cd players.
