FM Modulated CD Changers

Do they really sound that bad?
I've recently seen some 10-CD changers that can also play MP3 CDs for right around $100 with an FM modulator.
Is it a pretty decent way to play MP3's in a car?
 
The only problem I have noticed is I have to turn the HU volume way up to hear anything that is being played through FM Modulation.

Personally, I would avoid it.
 
I had one a couple years ago, and i noticed no problem whatsoever. Played great and didn't need to turn the volume up any differently. at least three other people i know have had them and have no complaints.
