{Fly me to the moon} This is a space flight simulator, but don't confuse it with some silly little video game. You're going to need working knowledge to get the most out of this sim, let me tell ya. The key is to make the simulation as real as possible. I mean, otherwise it's not much of a simulation, is it? No, I don't think it is. Everything is included: vessel modules, rocket separation, opening cargo doors, solar panels... the whole Space Shuttle she- bang. "ORBITER is a realistic space simulation using proper physics for the modeling of planetary motion, gravitational fields, free space and atmospheric flight, etc. At the start of the program, you are inside a spacecraft located on a launch pad at Habana International Spaceport."

Some visual artefacts persist due to Direct3D's limitation to single-precision arithmetic. This problem is unlikely to be resolved in the near future.

OpenGL has double precision capability. I dunno bout D3D. Guess some developers don't bother to learn the easier of the 2 API's, go figure. They probably think because MS backs D3D that they need not bother with OpenGL. Too bad D3D isn't portable to other platforms, isn't open source.

On the other hand I smell a load of BS attempting to blame the API for visual artifacts. Maybe something inherently wrong with their code. Didn't try it out yet though so I know not what the visual artifacts are.
