Fly and Drive

Here's the situation: I'm flying down to San Antonio to visit an army buddy. I've always thought it would be cool to buy an older no-rust car and drive north. My budget is $10k. If you were picking a coupe with a decent size engine what would you choose?

Well, since your timeframe is probably limited as well as the area I wouldn't narrow it down to anything very specific. I'd look for an old Datsun 280z myself.

I say Porsche 944 because I think they are cool. I know nothing about them though so this may be a ridiculous laughable answer.

How about a nissan 350z.

Funny you should say that as the first post. 280z was my highschool car. Lots of nostalgia there.

I'd probaly be more inclined to go for the 350z or a G35 now though. I had a new G35 sedan back in 2005 and really liked it.
