Flu bug going around anywhere else?

I woke up this morning the sickest I've been in years...in fact my whole family caught it. Can't even keep down a sip of water! I was totally fine when I went to bed last night. When I called in sick to work the receptionist told me two other people called in with it too. Should have gotten my flu shot but I never get sick so I didn't even think of it..

Feeling a little better now (as long as I don't move around too much), but no work for me today! buahaha

can anyone recommend anything to make me feel better? I actually feel better and more settled sitting here reclining in my chair than I do when laying down. My body is totaly empty if you know what I mean so I'm going to start getting really dehyrdated if I can't keep anything down...blah

two drugs an inhaled one called relenza and a pill called tamoxiflu i think. i've used relenza before and it works well.

I'd like to avoid drugs since I'm sure it won't last longer than a day...plus there's no way i can get to a pharmacy...everyone is sick.

i know someone who got the flu and he takes the flu shot every year.

go sleep a lot a guess will help

Both my parents had a nasty flu recently that lasted a week. Take a warm bath with lots of steam and sleep as much as possible.

Try ginger ale or pedialite. Pedialite is specifically for preventing dehydratuon when vomiting, etc are present. Make sure you keep drinking water, juice, something to try and keep it down. Getting dehydrated can be dangerous. Also, sleep whenever you can. As you mend, make sure you get plenty of vitamin C. It will help you get better faster and stay better. You might also try nibbling plain toast. Don't eat too much at once or you'll just sick it all up. Nibble and sip.

I'm having the damn flu now. Didn't get any shots but I'm on the road to recovery right now. I hate being sick. I usually get sick once a year, but this one started early, I hope i don't fall sick the rest of this year.
