Why do you have to be a woman to like flowers and candy? Heck, I'm straight and I like flowers and candy.

And, I'm not sure if noticed, but some gay men are rather effeminate so they might be more inclined to like more "feminine" things.

There are plenty of gay men that enjoy receiving presents such as that, though. Heck, I know several straight men that occasionally get flowers at work from their respective wife.
