Florida law makers are at it again... This time they are trying to scare the tourists away with an international driving permit. Basically trying to circumvent international treaties allowing most travellers to go to another country and use their existing license to rent and drive cars.

When the florida DMV was faced with the news that they can't supersede a treaty signed by the feds they claimed it was because florida police have a hard time reading international drivers licenses.

What the heck do you need to read on a license besides age and the picture?

I think they should require Florida drivers to get international permits to drive in other states but tha'ts just me.
